The Avengers has smashed box office records and has provided fans with oodles of fun tie-ins such as the latest Android wallpaper from Cellfish, the developers of NFL 3D Live Wallpaper, Halloween Live Wallpaper, and other popular apps.
The Avengers Live Wallpaper app for Android has a basic version (read: free) featuring Hulk and Thor, but the full version is worth every penny of the $0.99 price tag. The full version doubles your Avengers pleasure, with Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye joining the party. If you would like to hear from Nick Fury, and really who wouldn’t, just download the optional Avengers Assemble ringtone. The ringtone has sound bites from the heroes and other smashy explosiony-type sounds from the film.
Marvel Entertainment and Cellfish have teamed up to produce this fine app. Most of the fun to be had with this wallpaper comes from tapping various body parts of Black Widow and the rest of the gang, hearing quotes such as “We’re not a team, we’re a time-bomb,” and “This is nothing we were ever trained for.” You can also set up auto pan to watch The Avengers scroll by, hide the characters so that you might scroll through the phone without triggering the sound effects, and your screen cracks when receiving text messages as if the phone were whacked by Mjölnir itself.
