NEW EPISODIC SERIES ANNOUNCED WITH PANEL FEATURING LEGENDARY ACTORS JOHN DIMAGGIO, NOLAN NORTH, CARLOS ALAZARQUI, JIM CUMMINGS AND MORE!

Los Angeles, CA – (July 10, 2017) Beloved documentary I Know That Voice is returning to San Diego Comic Con International this July with a panel set to announce a new episodic chapter to the animation centric franchise. After a successful initial run with the feature film, including a star-studded premiere at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre, the film is also set to make a return to VOD platforms in time for the July 21st panel. The Comic Con panel will be in the historic Horton Grand Theatre from 12 noon until 1pm. The Theatre is located at 444 4th Avenue, just a short two-block walk from the Convention Center.

The panel will kick off with a ten-minute sizzle reel of never before seen footage and interviews featuring our panelists that will give a taste of the next steps of IKTV.

The panel includes appearances from iconic voice actors: John DiMaggio (Bender on Futurama), Jim Cummings (Ed the Hyena from The Lion King) Dee Bradley Baker (Klaus on American Dad!), Frederick Tatasciore (The Hulk from Avengers Assemble), Steven Blum (Zeb Orrelios of Star Wars: Rebels), Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko in Rocko’s Modern Life), Bob Bergen (Porky Pig on The Looney Tunes Show), Jessica DiCicco (Lexi Bunny on Loonatics Unleashed) and Nolan North (Nathan Drake of Uncharted)

The original film was written and directed by Cinovative’s Lawrence Shapiro in partnership with actor John DiMaggio’s Record Farm Industries and Tommy Reid of Dundee Entertainment. Magnetbox’s first project, after consulting for many other distributors, is the re-release of the acclaimed documentary I KNOW THAT VOICE, which explores the world of voice-over acting and features sit down interviews with Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons), Ed Asner (Up), Marion Ross (Spongebob Squarepants), Seth Green (Family Guy), Hank Azaria (The Simpsons), Matt Groening (The Simpsons) and dozens more.

Spinning off from this feature, and being celebrated at this July’s San Diego Comic Con, Magnetbox Films will be producing a TV series follow up to I Know That Voice. Each episode will follow up with a voice actor or a renowned property and go in depth into the process of the voice industry. The series is expected to debut this winter on cable and digital platforms.

“We’re thrilled and humbled to start our new venture by working with so many of the legends that first inspired us to work in the industry. We hope I Know That Voice can provide insight into the creative process that will continue to inspire aspiring actors and artists around the world to pursue their dreams.” Says Head of Distribution, Sean Flanagan.

“We see the forthcoming series as a master class, something that any one can enjoy whether it be because of the beloved characters being examined or aspiring actors can savor the tips and insights provided by actors whose careers have spanned the decades of the evolving film and video game industry.” Says Director Lawrence Shapiro.

Magnetbox Producer Jake Coburn adds, “Looking through the hundreds of hours of footage they filmed, though, we truly feel there is a wealth of great talent, stories, and characters that we have only begun to scratch the surface of.  And, with all the amazing new shows coming out, there’s a never-ending well of creative animated content for us to continue documenting.”

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
