TV's Pre-Sweeps Report Card

It’s that time of year again, November Sweeps. We’ve had five or six weeks of programming for most shows and now face some re-runs before the big Fall push to establish a shows status on the ratings ladder. But how are shows doing before their November extravaganzas?

I’m going to take you through the shows I watch and why I will or won’t continue to view them.

Spikes Scream Awards 2009 Recap

There’s a opalescent container on the stage, and twin girls dressed in white party dresses are raised to the top of the sphere, while a morbid nursery rhyme is recited. One of the girls raises a butcher knife to her throat and slices, and blood gushes out of the other sisters neck, staining her dress and the container.

This is the introduction to The Scream Awards 2009 which were broadcast on Spike. I will follow the categories, winners, and special events of the broadcast.

NBC Orders More Chuck Episodes!

It looks like Chuck isn't "staying in the car" for as long as we thought. Chuck Season 3 may be coming back sooner than we hoped. Instead of premiering in March of 2010 it may be back before the end of 2009. NBC has ordered six additional episodes of Chuck, and that's on top of the 13 episodes the network previously ordered, bringing the show’s season 3 total to 19 eps (just three shy of what’s considered a full season).
