The fight to save humanity continues as Battlestar Galactica Season Two makes its glorious debut on Blu-ray!
Following the stunning events at the end of Season One, Commander Adama is barely clinging to life and Col. Tigh takes command of the fleet. His actions, while good intentioned, spark a chain reaction that prove to be disastrous for our heroes. Meanwhile, Starbuck has been reunited with Helo and together (with their Cylon companion) they must find a way to back to the fleet and rescue the survivors of the Colonies. And what are those evil Cylons up to now? Well, it seems they are waiting for the birth of the first Human/Cylon Hybrid. All this and more on this season of BSG!
Highlights:
There are many great stories throughout Season Two, but these are my top three that truly stand out and lay the groundwork for the future of the show.
Tigh in Command-
Adama has been shot and betrayed by Boomer, one of Adama's inner circle on Galactica. As Tigh assumes command of the fleet further disaster strikes and half of the fleet fails to make the jump to the correct coordinates. Can Tigh reunite with the missing ships or will humanity's numbers continue to shrink by the thousands? Tigh also has Apollo imprisoned for questioning his orders in having the President of the Colonies arrested. Tigh realizes that he is losing control and imposes martial law, an action which strikes up further controversy within the fleet. The greatest part of this story is watching Tigh dig himself in a deeper hole with each action. The viewers truly begin to wonder if the Colonel will be able to redeem himself after some truly horrific decisions.

Overall:
The difference between watching the series on DVD versus Blu-ray is astounding. The crystal clear video and audio stand out brilliantly in this set. I need to point out that I bought each and every DVD release of this series when they first became available, but after re-watching these episodes in this format, it is truly apparent that Blu-ray is the way you should be watching BSG. If this is your first time watching BSG then you are in for an amazing experience. We highly recommend this new release to fans new and old.
