My Rescue Dragon

Not all anxiety coping strategies are the same!

First Draft

I posted the original version of this comic strip on December 7, 2020. I experimented with image size for far too long before I figured out I could google image sizes that worked with my social media platforms, The original version had Cassie the Fortune Teller, one of Spike’s moms. Notice Spike is in his original colors, before I let my daughter Caroline recolor him. I used a different dragon, but swapped it out to Spot. I have not used Spot the Dragon since the days my ink and pencil days, so this is Spot’s official re-introduction! Watch these comics for more Spot the Dragon in weeks to come!

Critter Coloring by Nari (aka Baby)

Thank you, Nari! Her grandmother said she calls her “Baby,” so I made sure to give credit to Nari/Baby on all my social media outlets as well. I really love how the background turned out on this one. Would you say this is more punk rock or heavy metal? Loving it either way.

Critter merchandise is for sale on Redbubble. Look for the JoeIconic store. All proceeds go to buying more stickers, temporary tattoos, and make coloring pages for the children who come through our local crisis charity! Critter fans send Critter Sightings from Amsterdam to Charleston to London to Alaska. I post Critter Sightings on social media on the weekends, sometimes. You can also donate via https://ko-fi.com/joeiconic .

#NotesforTracy is an all ages comicstrip, inspired from people and happenings in my life. The Critters deal with anxiety, small town superheroes, gym rats, preschool capers, and SO many dad jokes! This comic strip started as doodles on sticky pad notes, and the audience includes family, friends, and now a growing #CritterTribe!
