ComicsOnline is back in the Defiant press room again this year thanks to our friends at Legion M.

As you may recall, Legion M is taking a unique approach to Defiant. …And of course Legion M always take a unique approach to film creation because they’re the ones funded and run by actual fans, whether its by investing in the production company itself or in a specific production, fan investment is how every film at Legion M gets made. How Defiant is even more different is that the same story of Robert Smalls is that it is first being told in comic book form.

Who is Robert Smalls? He’s a real-life American hero of the civil war. He’s a US Congressman who fought for desegregation. His story is conspicuously absent from our history books, but now it’s being told by the amazing team at Legion M.
