Manga Review: Vampire Hunter D, Volume 4

D is on his way to the next job, when he comes across the scene of a family massacre.  The Knight family seems to have been brutally attacked by some dragons.  Only the daughter, Lori, survives, but she has severe radiation poisoning.  One of the few remaining Mobil Towns was scheduled to meet D at a nearby location.  D helps the man who saved Lori, John M. Brasselli Pluto VIII (and nothing less), get Lori to the town's doctor.  D has been hired by the mayor of the town to exterminate a Noble who somehow made it into the town.  D, however, knows there is much more than that to the story.

Manga Review: Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom vol 9: Null and Void.

Nora – The Last Chronicle of Devildom is about the forced compact between Nora, the Cerberus, a legendary demon also known as the vicious dog of disaster and Kazuma Magari, a demanding high school student. In order to give him some “training” in the human world, his master the Dark Liege entered him into a pact with Kazuma. Now Nora must ask for authorization when using his own magic, and Kazuma can restrain him by declaring "I forbid". This causes Nora's collar to choke the poor, troublemaking guy.

DVD Review: Sands of Destruction, The Complete Series

So you've had a rotten life, you're dominated by a race of beast men that would just as soon kill you as look at you. Everything you hold dear seems meaningless because the most important person in your life was killed trying to change the world. What would you do? If it were me and I had access to the power to destroy the world, well, I would use it and do just that. I would destroy the world.

TV Review: Chuck Season Three (Episodes 1-5)

The fans have spoken and Chuck, one of the best shows on television, has made its return to NBC for Season Three!

Thanks to an amazing fan campaign and the decline of people who actually care about Heroes, NBC realized the importance of this little spy show and has truly given it a chance to shine. Chuck advertisements have been all over the place and these days, marketing is everything. When I arrived home last week I found a Fedex box from NBC Universal with the Chuck Press Kit, containing the first five episodes of Season Three, a secret spy kit, digital voice changer, and super secret spy glasses! The episodes alone would have been cool enough, but I do love my spy kit.

Blu-ray Review: Battlestar Galactica- Season One

The Cylons are coming! The Cylons are coming! They're here.

Battlestar Galactica: Season One
has made its way to Blu-ray, and it is
truly glorious. This is a show that was meant to be watched in high
definition. It is amazing how different the episodes look compared to DVD. I need to start out by mentioning that I do indeed own all of BSG on DVD. It was a series that I felt needed to have in my collection and I wanted to relive it before the final season aired. Now that this Blu-ray set is in my hands, I have the desire to own it all on Blu-ray.

Movie Review: The Book of Eli

Apocalypse:  a prophetic revelation, especially concerning a cataclysm in which the forces of good permanently triumph over the forces of evil.   Aka the end of life as we know it.  But is that necessarily a bad thing?   Perhaps it depends upon the world as it is at the time of the apocalypse, and what sort of life is being led.

Manga Review: Vampire Knight Vol. 9

In Vampire Knight Vol. 9, Yuki has finally become herself again, while still being awakened.  Rido Kuran has some of his followers attack Cross Academy, as a distraction for the Night Class.  Kaname meets with the vampire Senate in order to do something he should have done before things got messy.  Meanwhile, Rido and Yuki face off, but not for long; Zero has managed to break free from his cell (with help from Kaname and Ichiru) and has now taken on the job of destroying EVERY vampire, starting with Rido.
