iPad Game Review: Thor Son of Asgard

You’ve seen the movie right? If you haven’t read our review on it and then get your butt into a theater and watch it already!
Okay, you’re back, you’ve seen the movie. Now, buy the game on your iPad or iPhone! Thor: Son of Asgard, now available in the App Store, is a fun game where players assume the role of Thor and take an epic journey to defend Odin’s Kingdom.
Let me clarify that the game has NOTHING to do with the movie. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but don’t buy the gaming thinking it’s based off the movie.

Movie Review: Thor

The God of Hammer-Stroking. Guardian of Asgard.
Let me start off by saying that its difficult to watch a movie for an hour and fourteen minutes when your blood is no longer rushing to your brain. Lucky for you, you don’t need a brain to enjoy this fantastic expansion of the Marvel Universe, Thor.
Don’t see this movie if you are going to try and compare it to just the recent Marvel films released (Iron Man, Iron Man II, The Incredible Hulk) you will be disappointed. However if you look at it comparing it to every Marvel film released in the last twenty years, then you will very satifyied.

Video Game Review: Thor God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier
On Friday I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at two eagerly awaited games for geeks everywhere. Thor: God of Thunder and Captain America: Super Soldier. All brought to you by a corner stone of the gaming industry Sega. We all got a glimpse of both games last year at New York Comic Con. However this Friday I was able to actually try my hand at both games on each system.

TV Review: Supernatural – “Frontierland”

During the third season of Supernatural, head show-runner Eric Kripke started plotting out a spinoff to his hit series, while delving deep into his own mythos – chronicling the adventures of the first Hunter, Samuel Colt. Kripke felt there was so much that could be done with a Supernatural series set in the old wild west, bringing about a new feel to the genre.
Now here we are, three whole seasons later, and fans finally get a glimpse of Kripke’s vision as Sam and Dean do a little bit of time traveling back to the old days in order to find and hunt a phoenix.
TV Review: Smallville – “Booster”
Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle make their first apperances on Smallville in tonight’s episode “Booster”.
Geoff Johns returns to Smallville and has once again produced gold (pun intended), this time bringing Booster Gold to life in all of his scene stealing glory. Played by Eric Martsolf, Booster appears in a NASCAR-esque costume, complete with marketing patches. We also get references to Booster’s time-traveling robot companion, Skeets (who appears in a slightly different, but logical form in this episode). Booster’s presence in Smallville helps to push Clark into realizing how important his visibility will be once he steps into the light, and how the citizens of Metropolis might react to seeing their hero in the flesh.
