Nintendo 3DS Review: Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask

The overall story in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask feels true to what has made the Professor Layton games into what they are: A story about people, whether those people are Professor Layton and Luke or the people who are out to stop them or occasionally the people who are simply caught in between. It’s a story about human nature, and how a failing doesn’t mean you’ve failed and doesn’t mean you can’t do better in the future. It’s a story about sometimes not being able to see the big picture and not understanding the potential repercussions of your actions.

Movie Review: Much Ado About Nothing

Leave it to Joss Whedon to make Shakespeare more fun than ever.

On a break from last years huge blockbuster success, Marvel’s The Avengers, when he was supposed to be taking his wife to Venice for the 20th Anniversary, Joss Whedon… made a movie instead. Shot in 12 days on location at his Santa Monica home, Much Ado About Nothing is simply this: a labor of love.

TV Review: Futurama – “2-D Blacktop” and “Fry and Leela’s Big Fling”

Futurama returns for one more season of adventure starting tonight at 10pm on Comedy Central!

After successfully escaping from TV Heaven (or Robot Hell if you are Bender), the Planet Express crew is about to head off into the sunset (again). Having completed 4 Direct-To-Video releases, and 3 additional seasons, Comedy Central has decided to not renew the sci-fi comedy for additional episodes. While this news is bittersweet, at least fans were given the opportunity to enjoy many additional hours with these beloved characters over the last few years.

Tonight’s episodes include “2-D Blacktop” and “Fry and Leela’s Big Fling”. The network was kind enough to send the episodes out to the press for review, and I can say without question that the show is going out with a bang.
