When Space Colony Omicron comes under attack from space pirates, Dr. Jerrod Keplar attempts to get his children (Jan and Jace) and their pet monkey (Blip) to safety. Just when all hope seems lost, a mysterious man appears. Just who is the Space Ghost? And what do the pirates want with Dr. Keplar’s scientific research? Join the adventure and find out when you get your copy of Space Ghost #1!

One of the first things that you will notice when reading this book is how cinematic it feels. The story moves at a breakneck pace, allowing the reader to feel like they are truly experiencing the adventure first-hand. The creative team successfully captures the magic of the original cartoon and adds a modern spin to create a new pulp fiction inspired sci-fi thriller. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat as I read through the first chapter, and I hope that this pacing continues for subsequent issues because it really made it a unique experience.

Space Ghost #1 is a stellar new launch for Dynamite Entertainment. This is a book to watch as it has all of the elements of greatness. You don’t see comics like this often, so do yourself a favor and grab a copy this week so we can all experience more from this creative team.

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
