Originally, though, this joke had a goat instead.

This comic strip was originally posted on June 9, 2021. Art imitates life, because we had just acquired a goat. Warning to all: the cuteness stage of baby goats does not last long!

First Dragon Joke

I posted the original version of this comic strip on October 16,2020 in a joke titled “Dragon Mating Season.” The dragon design is an homage to Phil Foglio, and the fun way he drew dragons, as well as “What’s New with Phil and Dixie” cartoon in Dragon magazine.

Critter Colorings by Haley & Mary

Thank you, Haley and Mary! They called their little brother Emmanuel “Emen” which is my wife’s first Dungeons and Dragons character’s name. Emen was a half-orc barbarian with a double flaming battle axe, and what we gamers refer to as “a tank.” Send her in first!
