Convention News: Baltimore Comic-Con 2025 Welcomes James and Oliver Phelps

by Mike Favila, Senior Editor

James and Oliver Phelps are English actors, podcasters, and identical twin brothers best known for playing the Weasley twins, Fred and George, in the Harry Potter films. Outside of the Harry Potter movies, they appeared in the third season of the TV series Kingdom as brothers, starred in the film A Mind’s Eye, and directed Journey along the Thames for the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

The twins continue to be associated with the Harry Potter brand, including attending the Harry Potter Exhibition opening in Chicago and later cities and countries on the tour, the Harry Potter Celebration in Orlando, Florida where they LiveCast answers to fan questions and spoke about the expansion at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and in 2024, hosted Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, a six-part competition show based on the Harry Potter franchise, for Food Network. In addition, they voiced their characters in the video games for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Their Normal Not Normal and Double Trouble podcast series can be found on their YouTube channel.

“We have MORE than doubled the Harry Potter goodness at this year’s event,” said Marc Nathan, show promoter for the Baltimore Comic-Con. “They join Bonnie Wright, who was already confirmed, so our Potterhead fanbase is going to be psyched to come meet some of their favorite stars this year!”
