Comic Book Reviews: Week of 3/11/2026

ComicsOnline kicked off 2026 by reading a TON of comics. There’s a lot to talk about, and we wanted to highlight some of our picks for the week of March 11th, 2026.

Transformers #30
Rating: ★★★★★
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: WHO WILL LEAD THE AUTOBOTS? It’s Optimus Prime vs. Elita-1 — and the future of the Autobots hangs in the balance! One shall stand and one… ah, you know the rest.

Review: Skybound takes the Transformers saga to new heights with a game-changing twist! I’ve loved the continuing evolution of the Energon Universe, and this latest issue is going to have undeniable ramifications for our favorite Cybertronians moving forward. Last issue’s all-out battle between the Autobots and Decepticons felt like a pivotal moment in the series, but then we are hit with this more personal one-on-one that hits just as hard. Dan Mora delivers a killer final chapter for his time on the book, and his contributions to the series will definitely be missed. Transformers continues to be a MUST-READ series.

X-Men United #1
Rating: ★★★★☆
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: WELCOME TO GRAYMATTER LANE, LEARN TO SURVIVE THE EXPERIENCE!

“Build a school,” Charles Xavier told them, and the X-Men have done so — but in a manner nobody saw coming! Welcome to Graymatter Lane, a place where mutants anywhere in the world can come together in unity to teach one another the skills needed for their survival! With instructors including Wolverine, Beast, Prodigy, Magneto and more, and a campus unlike any before seen, it’s the crossroads of the X-Universe as a student body from across the globe works to take mutantkind to the next step in their evolution — and to cope with a brewing threat to all of their number!

ReviewX-Men United provides yet another new status quo for our favorite mutants, but this one feels much more defined than the “From The Ashes” era kick-off. During Xavier’s escape to space, he challenged his students to reopen the school and help other mutants. Instead of a physical location, Emma and the gang have crafted a mental option (cleverly dubbed “Greymatter Lane”) where mutants all over the world can train and explore their powers in safety (we know that won’t last long, but it’s a nice thought). Everyone seems pumped about the new plan except for Cyclops, who continues to be portrayed in a hot-and-cold manner. For those of us who miss the Krakoan age, this feels like a great new step in the right direction.

Green Lantern Corps #14
Rating: ★★★★½
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: THE AFTERMATH OF DC K.O.! Thanks to his newfound power after DC K.O., Guy Gardner is now being worshipped as the Allsight on Oa. After receiving constant visions of the vanished Emotional Entities, Guy puts together an elite team to track them down. At the same time, John Stewart and Katma Tui run into an old adversary on New Korugar.

ReviewGreen Lantern Corps continues to shine bright as a wonderful exploration of the cosmic side of the DC Universe. In the Aftermath of DC K.O., Guy Gardner has found himself in a new role as the “Allsight” of OA. His visions of the Entities of the Emotional Spectrum have opened up new opportunities for him and the various Corps, and now a quest begins to find the reborn Entity Babies and unite all of the Lanterns. This issue also sees the return of fan-favorite Green/Yellow Lantern Soranik Natu, who has unwillingly been possessed by Parallax?! Big things are happening in this book, and as a life-long Green Lantern fan, I couldn’t be any happier with how this story is playing out.

Undiscovered Country #35
Rating: ★★★★½
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: Only two issues left before the huge series finale! Most, but not all of the cards get laid down in this crucial chapter in the UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY saga. The world is at war, and neither side will be satisfied with anything less than total eradication of their enemy. What comes after… peace, or devastation?

Review: One of my favorite ongoing titles is about to come to an end. We’ve reached the penultimate installment of Undiscovered Country, and the creative team has saved the best for last. After traveling the Spiral, we’ve finally made it to the Final Boss Battle with Aurora (featuring an insanely cool design for the big bad of the series), and it will be up to one of our heroes to decide the final fate of the world. For those of you who are looking for a non-superhero comic to explore, I would highly recommend diving into this unique story. The unpredictable nature of Undiscovered Country has made it a joy to read every step of the way, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together in the finale.
