Comic Book Reviews: Week of 3/18/2026

ComicsOnline kicked off 2026 by reading a TON of comics. There’s a lot to talk about, and we wanted to highlight some of our picks for the week of March 18th, 2026.

Wonder Woman #31
Rating: ★★★★★
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: THE WONDER WAR BEGINS! The Matriarch commences her crusade to rule over the DC Universe. As heroes and villains alike fall to her insurmountable power, Wonder Woman and her daughter Trinity must unite to save all that they hold dear. Time’s up for the princesses of Themyscira, and the Queen of America will not rest until they bow to her will. The Eisner-nominated creative duo of Tom King (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow) and Daniel Sampere (Dark Crisis) is back for the most riveting installment of their Wonder Woman epic yet!

Review: Tom King and Daniel Sampere are back in action for the sensational launch of the Wonder War! When you thought this book couldn’t get any better, the creative team pushes the narrative into uncharted territory with a trip to the future where the Matriarch reigns supreme. Her backstory and connection to Trinity take center stage as our favorite heroine attempts to take down the big bad with help from grown-up versions of Jon Kent and Damien Wayne. The daring attempt from the next generation Trinity seems to stand a fighting chance, but the epic battle takes a decisive turn for the worse. Don’t miss out on one of the most impressive ongoing titles from DC. Wonder Woman impresses at every turn, and this will be a tough act to follow.

The Lucky Devils #7
Rating: ★★★★½
by Matt Sernaker

Official Synopsis: The seventh circle of Hell is a big one — it’s all about that ULTRA-VIOLENCE, baby! This all began by an innocent bit of rule-breaking by two little shoulder devils with an aversion to authority and a desire to change their lives for the better. Truly the very best of intentions. But now, as Hell itself spills up onto earth and chaos takes over, it’s starting to feel like maybe our little demonic buddies may have bitten off more than they can chew.

Review:  The road to Hell is paved with good intentions, and The Lucky Devils continues to explore the fine line between good and evil. We’ve made it to the seventh circle of Hell, and our favorite demons and their humans find themselves at a crossroad as the chaos expands to unexpected levels. The Lucky Devils has become a top-priority read thanks to this fantastic creative team, and it’s hard not to love the insanely clever nature of this book. Expect the unexpected and don’t miss out on the fun and chaotic nature of this original series!
