SDCC 2026 – Doug Jones talks Star Trek 60

by Kevin Gaussoin, Editor-in-Chief

Expressive as ever!

ComicsOnline is back for more pop culture adventures at San Diego Comic-Con!

Our 2026 exclusive interview coverage has officially begun, and we are excited to continue our features with our old friend Doug Jones (Star Trek: Discovery, Hellboy, The Neighbors).

Join ComicsOnline Editor-in-Chief Kevin Gaussoin (and a cameo from Matt Sernaker) for a Doug-Hug with Doug Jones! Whether he’s a Commander, Captain, Ambassador, or First Gentleman of Ni’Var, Saru from Star Trek: Discovery will warm almost as many hearts as the gentleman who portrays him. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to meet Doug Jones, you know what we mean; and even if you haven’t, his kindness is about to flow through your screen and speakers and show you what Star Trek means to him. Then we get to hear about his scenes with Tara Rosling (aka President T’Rina) as well as what alien he wants to play next.

Also we had to talk Pan’s Labyrinth briefly, because OMG (Oh My Guillermo) that glorious new 3D version debuts October 9th, 2026!

Kevin has run ComicsOnline since 2000 so everything you like about it is due to his excellent staff and everything you don't like is all his fault. He hopes you'll comment and share the crap out of it either way. Also he sends you virtual hugs.
