CC2011: Chuck Panel

By Gema Luna and Daniel Reamer, Reporters

In an emotional goodbye to Comic-Con, the cast and creator of Chuck gave us the inside scoop on the 5th and final season of this amazing series.

  • The classic opening montage was Jeffster playing Queen’s “eye of the tiger”, while Joshua Gomez, aka Morgan, is being prepped by Ryan McPartlin, aka Captain Awesome, for his new role as the intersect.

  • This season, for Chuck, is about him going back to basics and using his analytical thinking to get him through rather than him depending on  the intersect.

  • There will be a competition between Chuck’s spy company and the top spy company in the world.

  • The Buy More is owned by the Bartowski’s.

  • There is a possible love interest for Casey this season.

  • CIA will be a problem for Chuck’s spy company, maybe even a villain.

  • There is going to be room for General Beckman to be involved this season.

  • They are almost done with the first half of the season.

  • There is no Linda Hamilton yet in the first half, but anything can happen.

  • Mark Hamil, aka Luke Skywalker, will be the first villain of the season.

  • Zach Levi’s favorite memory of the show was their first Comic-Con when the pilot aired.

  • Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) will know about the spy business from the get go this season, and might be involved in Chuck’s business.

  • Chris Fedak would love to do a Chuck movie.

  • As we learned in the past season, the intersect affects everyone a little differently.  So Intersect Morgan will not be the same as Intersect Chuck.

  • Morgan will have frosted tips at some point.

  • When the cast was asked about what they wanted for Chuck, Gomez said that he didn’t wanted to end, a sentiment that all the cast and audience members agreed on.
