SDCC 2011: Power Rangers – Exclusive Interviews with Cast Members from MMPR, Time Force, Wild Force and Samurai!

by Kroze Kresky, Media Editor

At San Diego Comic Con 2011, Saban Entertainment gave us the chance to sit down with the cast of Power Rangers Samurai to find out more what its like being a Power Ranger (apparently it involves lots friendship and teamwork… and video games) as well as what is to come within the second season of the show! Here are some highlights:

* Fans of the Japanese series Shinkenger (Which Power Rangers Samurai is based upon and uses footage from) will be surprised as the american series takes a very different turn in the second season.

* The cast did watch the first few episodes of Shinkenger just to get a feel of the show but did not let it have any effect how they played their characters

* Steven Skyler talked about how Antonio will be spending a lot of time with Bulk and Spike in Season 2.

* Cast loves getting together and bonding over rounds of Mortal Kombat and Call of Duty together. Brittany (Yellow Samurai Ranger) apparently kicks ass.

* A lot of the cast’s favorite scenes they have done are still yet to come!

* Having Ricardo Medina Jr. (Former Red Wild Force Ranger) as Decker around was quite the experience working with a former Ranger.

In addition to meeting with the newest team of Rangers, we got to catch up with some heroes from our past: Walter Jones (Zach, the original Black Mighty Morphin Power Ranger), Jessica Rey (White Wild Force Power Ranger), and Vernon Wells (Ransik from Timeforce).

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
