Comic Book Review: Transformers #19

by Devin Evans, Guest Reporter

In a sea of comics, looking for my first review pick, Transformers #19 stuck out like a diamond in the rough with clashing colors, and wild artwork of character designs from the original Transformers series. I had to read it. With Daniel Warren Johnson as the writer, Ludo Lullabi as the artist, and Adriano Lucas as the colorist, these three creators made an interesting comedic action subplot to a ease a new reader with jumping into this serious series.

Official Description:
**NEW STORY ARC **
WHAT HAPPENED TO MEGATRON?
The story that every fan has demanded begins RIGHT HERE.

Megatron was taken by higher beings to be put on trial. To show how small Megatron was in power, for the first part, he wipes the floor with the army of Sharkticons. With no signs of slowing down, one of the trial hosts gets in a massive robot named, Mechanokoar. Taken down almost embarrassingly fast by the machine, Megatron wakes up in the spot where he first started as if it all had just started, only to do the trial over and over. Until one of them says… “It’s over.” Honestly, for my first Transformers comic read and as purist of the movies. Johnson did a great job with the story line, Ludo and Adriano did a fantastic job with the drawings and coloring on Transformers #19

I’m looking forward to reading more of this series and I recommend it highly.
