Absolute Green Lantern continues with “Episode Three: The Philosopher’s Stone”. The puzzle pieces are starting to come together as John Stewart works to find answers to their alien predicament. Thanks to a bit of non-linear storytelling, readers are given greater insights into Hal’s situation with the Black Hand and Jo’s fight to control the emerald light. While the creators are still establishing the ground rules for this new universe, the intriguing twists keep me coming back for more. I doubt that everything is as straight forward as it seems, and I’m very interested to see how the “judgement” of Abin Sur plays out. Each of the Absolute titles brings something exciting to the experience, and this creative team has captured something engaging with their cosmic horror mystery.
