Paley Center’s last LOST Day!
The Paley Center for Media studies the connection between media and society, looking back through history at things like the moon landing, the first color TV, and then something like the end of ABC's hit show LOST. It's been a long six years for fans of this incredible show, and it's all over tonight. The Paley Center decided to take one more last look at it by putting on a presentation for a lucky gathering in New York City (and Los Angeles), and I was allowed to go check it out.

Blu-ray & DVD Review: Rome: The Complete Series
DVD Review: The Answer Man
DVD Review: The Girlfriend Experience
Steven Soderbergh is known as a stylish and risk-taking director. Some of his movies become blockbusters, some cult classics, and some are never even seen by the mainstream audience at all. Soderbergh seems to be a genuine artist, someone who cares more about the experience of shooting and the story he wants to tell rather than a man looking for money and prestige. His first film, Sex, Lies, and Videotape revolutionized independent films in the late 80's. Erin Brockovich and Traffic were both nominated for various Academy Awards. Soderbergh is a name worth reckoning with in Hollywood, but occasionally he likes to make pet projects, and The Girlfriend Experience is one of these.
DVD Review: I Love You, Man
The term 'bromance' has become steadily more accepted in pop culture thanks to favored heterosexual mates for life like Joey and Chandler from Friends, Silent Bob and Jay from Kevin Smith movies, and then Judd Apatow's stream of buddy flicks. Bromance is about the love between two straight men who are extremely close to one another, almost to the point of parodying an actual romance. In April the newest bromance comedy was released starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, titled aptly I Love You, Man. Hilarious and full of heart, the film did very well in the theaters with a generally high review rate from critics. It is now out on DVD and Blu-ray, so it's time to cue your Rush music on your iPod and slappah de bass!
True Blood at SDCC
The arrival of the "True Blood" cast to Ballroom 20 was met with loud applause and many fangirl screams, especially thanks to the fan favorite actor Alexander Skasgard being there. Also in attendance was Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Rutina Wesley, Michelle Forbes, Nelsan Ellis, Sam Trammell, Deborah Ann Woll, Alan Ball, and the writer of the original series Charlaine Harris. It was great to see such a full panel, but it also meant that not every actor could be as fully addressed as we'd like. There was so much to ask and very little time to do it in!
Entertainment Weekly/SyFy Party Photos
I was invited to take part in the exclusive red carpet at Hotel Solamar for Entertainment Weekly's joint party with SyFy. It was quite the event with tons of celebrities wandering by flashing cameras and warmly chatting with myself and a few other online reporters who waved for their attention. I am working on getting the audio together because it was quite loud out there, but I do have some pictures of the celebs that I got to chat with so I thought I'd put them up for you lucky readers!
First up some Battlestar Galactica people! Edward James Olmos stopped by to talk.
Grace Park looked beautiful and was more than happy to chat next to her former co-star….
