Blu-ray Review: LOST The Complete Fourth Season
LOST The Complete Fourth Season is out on DVD and Blu-ray and if you’ve been following the show since the first season, this past season was the one where the show’s basic formula was turned on its side and recreated by way of flash forwards. Granted we really saw our first flash forward in the cliffhanger of season three but that was really our intro of what to expect with season four.

Season five of Fox’s Golden Globe and Emmy-winning series The X-Files ended with its highest viewership ever, the X-Files division of the FBI within the show had just been shut down, and fans were eager to finally see the X-Files movie, which we learned was shot in during the break between seasons 4 and 5, but picked up right where season 5 left off: the X-Files were no more, but Mulder and Scully were still FBI Agents.

Ben Stiller (producer of The Ruins) stars as Tugg Speedman as who in turn stars as Four Leaf Tayback. Speedman is the ultimate action hero whose fame has seen better days.
Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda) stars as Jeff Portnoy who in turn stars as Fats. Portnoy is a heroin addict whose fame is largely based on movies featuring himself playing multiple roles in fat suits.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars does what no Star Wars prequel has ever done: Not suck.
Sure, Episode I had pod racing and a cool battle with Darth Maul, Episode II had Yoda battling Dooku and the arena scene, and Episode III had a battle scene on Kashyyyk, a place we hadn’t seen since the Holiday Special, but overall, they were an embarrassment to all us old school fans of the original trilogy. They featured whiny Anakin whining his whiny face all over the whiny place… They just weren’t good.

Gift Guides 2008: Horror
The holidays are upon us, and with the season comes the hassle of shopping for those pesky gifts. Well here‘s a quick guide of the best horror I saw this year.
1. The Zombie Diaries – This is my #1 pick of the year for the horror genre. An innovative, small budget film from England, where monsters meet monsters.
2. Wizard of Gore – For the fan of the off-beat, surreal plot that needs to be watched more that once to be comprehended. And every time you watch there’s something new still. If you liked Videodrome, you’ll love this.
3. Diary of the Dead – The latest offering from the maestro, George Romero, this flick gives another prospective of the beginning of the outbreak. Actually I was hooked at George Romero.
4. Mother of Tears – Another flick from across the pond, this time Italy offers up it‘s own brand of horror through Dario Argento. Witchcraft, medieval killing devices, and Asia Argento, yippee ti yo ki yay.
Blu-ray Review: Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is the story of Po (Jack Black – Tropic Thunder), a panda that has spent his life working in the noodle shop belonging to his goose father’s (James Hong – Big Trouble in Little China) noodle shop, while all the while dreaming of becoming a kung fu master. Through a series of wacky accidents, Po is inadvertently chosen to take the mantle of the Dragon Warrior so that he can defend his home, the Valley of Peace, from an escaped criminal, Tai Lung, who also seeks the secret knowledge of the Dragon scroll. Po puts up with the misgivings of his reluctant master, Shifu (Dustin Hoffman), and overcome his own weaknesses in order to find his inner strength and save the day.
