Comic Book Review: Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #2

by Matt Sernaker, Editor-In-Chief

Trinity continues her adventures across the DC timestream! The youngest version of our favorite girl wonder managed to escape from Crisis on Infinite Corgis, but now we get to see how the teenager Wonder Girl handles a trip to Gotham and a unique encounter with Jason Todd!? Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #2 and DC Comics presents the story that no one saw coming: “A Corgi in the Family.”

The chase across time continues, and the latest chapter of Trinity’s adventures has taken Wonder Girl back to a tragic time in Bat-Family history…the death of Jason Todd. When faced with a very much alive Robin, Trinity will be faced with some major choices that could potentially impact the DC Universe forever… Can this surprising dynamic duo track down the Damien “Robin-Corgi” Wayne and save the day?

Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman is a gift that keeps on giving. The interactions between Lizzie and Pariah in the first issue were utterly amazing, but the dynamics between Wonder Girl and Jason Todd are just SO DAMN GOOD. When I first heard that the series would be exploring this particular timeframe, I was a bit surprised, but the pairing of these characters and how they played off of each other was utterly perfect. This book will make you love Jason Todd’s Robin, and that is an accomplishment. I would love to see these characters interact beyond this chapter (maybe a spin-off Tom???), because this worked better than anyone could have guessed.

Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman expertly showcases the potential of DC’s next generation of heroes.

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
