Invincible soars to new heights with the release of Invincible Omnibus HC, Volume 1 from Image and Skybound Entertainment! Fans of the series have seen their favorite superhero take many different forms over the years: single issue “floppies”, trade paper backs, hardcover library editions, as well as expansive soft and hardcover compendiums. As a long-time fan, I have no problem sharing that I have individual issues safely tucked away in long-boxes, as well as 30+ trade paper backs sitting in my office (main series + spin-offs), but this new omnibus takes the cake.
Not only does Omnibus Volume 1 include Invincible #0-47, it also features the hard to find Marvel Team-Up #14 featuring the Amazing Spider-Man! If you’ve been watching the show, you might have noticed the cameo by Josh Keaton as “Agent Spider”, but now you can experience the original story as part of this oversized edition. It’s crazy to think that nine volumes are collected in this incredibly stunning release. After many years, it was time for an upgrade, and this stunning collection now has a new home in my office. If you are a fan of the hit animated show (which just finished its fourth season) or looking to get into comics, this would be one hell of a starting point. Although the series is following the source material pretty closely, there are some big differences that are very much worth the time and would only enhance your viewing experience. Besides, we all need to patiently await the next season of the show, so now is the perfect time for some light reading.
Invincible Omnibus HC, Volume 1 features the creative talents of Robert Kirkman (THE WALKING DEAD), Cory Walker (SCIENCE DOG), and Ryan Ottley (INVINCIBLE UNIVERSE: BATTLE BEAST).
