DVD Review: Family Guy Volume 7

Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Brian and Stewie are back for more! Family Guy Volume 7 is now available and once again the show has taken the comedy to the next level! This 3 disc collection features 13 episodes from the hit series along with some new special features (including a special featurette from Comic-Con 2008).

Back to the Woods– James Woods returns and commits identity fraud in order to seek revenge against Peter. Peter comes to the realization that if James Woods can become Peter Griffin, then Peter Grifin can become JAMES WOODS! Dun Dun Dun.

Play it again Brian– Brian might finally get to be with Lois when Peter might have crossed the line in his marriage.

The Former Life of Brian– Brian goes looking for his past love and finds more than he barganed for…a son! Brian has a change of heart and decided to give Dylan the life he was meant to have.

Long John Peter– Peter decides to become a pirate…nuff said.

Love Blactually– Brian falls for a new girl but decides to take it slow so not to ruin his chances with her…but he finds out that he waited too long and now someone else has moved in: Cleveland! Can Brian win his girlfriend back?

I Dream of Jesus– Have you heard the word? You haven't? Well my friend: Bird IS the word. Peter becomes obsessed with the song "Surfin Bird".

Road to Germany– Brian, Mort, and Stewie travel back in time to WWII (with tons of Back to the Future references).

Baby Not On Board– Stewie has a Home Alone moment when his family leaves for the Grand Canyon without him.

The Man with Two Brians– Brian gets injured when Peter attempts to emmulate the Jackass TV show. The Griffins get worried that Brian is getting too older and decide to get a new dog!

Tales of a Third Grade Nothing– In order to get a promotion at work, Peter must go back and repeat the Third Grade! The side story features Brian singing with Frank Sinatra Jr!

Ocean's Three and a Half– Bonnie finally has her baby! In order to cover the medical bills, the guys plan an elaborate theft from Lois' father.

Family Gay– Peter goes Gay! Peter decides to join some medical trials and is injected with what Doctors are calling the "Gay Gene". First Lois enjoys the new Peter but then realizes that they won't be able to have a physical relationship anymore…will the Griffins be able to survive the new Peter?

Overall
This volume was a lot more consistant than the prior release. The jokes are still the same but the number of laugh out loud moments is definitely higher. For those of you who didn't make it to Comic-Con last year you will enjoy the special featurette.

ComicsOnline gives Family Guy Volume Seven 5 out of 5 shows that are truly about nothing.
