DVD Review: G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Season 1.1

G.I. Joe may be solely responsible for the recent economic downturn. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Season 1.1 revolves around the G.I. Joes and their terrorist counterparts, Cobra, developing expensive new ways to either take over the world or prevent world domination. This is a great way to reconnect with the overly-aggressive little kid you once were or expose your own child to one of the building blocks that made you who you are. Your child will most likely be so inspired that he will grow up to join the army, only to realize that he is not allowed to dress in whatever eccentric garb he pleases while using a custom set of weapons that have been designed to match his over-the-top persona (this will inevitably lead to years of turmoil between you two).

Leverage: The First Season DVD Set

TNT has really started to come up with creative original series, and right now they have some of the hottest TV: The Closer, Raising The Bar, Saving Grace, and one of their newer shows Leverage. What appealed to me about Leverage from the first time I saw it was the Robin Hood-like pretense, and the quirkiness of the five main characters. They are each memorable in their own way and add just enough to the show for it to be a hit ensemble cast. The show is premiering its second season on July 15th, and just in time the first season is being officially released on July 14th. This is the perfect time to pick up the first season and learn all about this show before it starts again, and for you fans to get a happy reminder of this adventure Ocean's Eleven-esque show.

Ryan Reynolds is GREEN LANTERN!

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ryan Reynolds has just been officially cast as Hal Jordan for the upcoming live action Green Lantern film…and I couldn't be more excited. Reynolds is perfect for the role. His average joe reactions and comic timing make this a solid choice.

In my opinion, Green Lantern can't hit theatres soon enough.

Stay tuned to ComicsOnline for more information on Green Lantern as it becomes available.

DVD Review: Stargate Atlantis Season 5

The final season of Stargate Atlantis has just arrived on DVD!

The last few years of Stargate Atlantis have been quite a roller coaster ride. Not only did we see Dr Weir (Tori Higgenson) replaced by Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) as the head of Atlantis, but we also saw Atlantis relocate to a new planet! Under Col. Carter's watch, the city of Atlantis has thrived and has managed to defeat a large number of enemies. Now, the IOA has decided to replace Carter with someone that they have complete control over: Agent Woolsey (Robert Picardo). The Atlantis team must now adapt to Mr. Woolsey's strick way of operating, while still managing to save humanity from the Wraith and many new threats!

DVD Review: Claymore, Chapter 6 The Awakening

The secret of Clare comes out in this the final Chapter of the story. Clare is pushed to the point of no return and is in danger of fully awakening. The foes are stronger and more deadly than ever and the past has come back to haunt Clare. This beautifully rendered series closes it's doors to us, but hopefully not forever.
