We all remember the horrible sounds of nerdrage across the internet when the official word came down from Warner Brothers on high of the casting of Ben Affleck in the title role of the Dark Knight, Batman in the upcoming Zack Snyder film Batman vs Superman.  The questions of “what the heck are you guys thinking?” continued for quite awhile, and came to a head once again with the announcement of Gal Gadot as the Amazonian princess Wonder Woman.  Fans from all walks of life, age, and gender reacted in kind, wondering if this was a choice motivated by actual knowledge of the character or the desire to have a beautiful model play a warrior character.

Well today my friends and fellow anti-Batfleckians, our head scratching can finally stop.  Ben Affleck stepped away from the pointy eared cowl to take over  Snyder’s director chair.

Michael Fassbender is taking over the title role.

Olivia Wilde is taking over as Wonder Woman.
