Comic Book Review: Rogue Sun #13

by Blake Hill, Reporter

Dylan’s struggle to regain control of his body continues, and he’ll take allies wherever he can find them… even if an ally isn’t necessarily a friend. A new arc begins for our Massive-Verse hero in Rogue Sun #13 from Image Comics!

Official Synopsis:
In the wake of an unthinkable tragedy Dylan struggles to adjust to his new life. But when a new threat arrives he’ll have to take back control-and fast -or risk losing everything important to him forever.

Creative Team:
Writer: Ryan Parrott
Artists: Abel & Marco Renna
Coloring: Natália Marques
Lettering: Becca Carey

Dylan’s trapped on the outside of his own life looking in, but unfortunately his friends and family don’t realise the changes are more than just an attitude adjustment.  He’ll have to team up with some unlikely allies to try and wrest control back from Caleb, but Caleb has far more experience than the young Rogue Sun.  They’ll need to sort it out before a much bigger threat arrives on their doorstep.

Parrott makes a disturbing point about somebody else being able to handle your life and relationships better than you.  Abel and Renna put some excellent touches on a rogue’s gallery of nightmare characters, making me really want to see more of them.  Dylan and Caleb’s struggle to maintain control over their coveted “prize” was a real highlight of the story (including the ensuing battle/team-up with Demonika).
