Everyone makes mistakes, life is full of them. So how do you figure out the exact moment, the singular
choice that toppled the dominoes and stop disaster from coming. After the decimation that occurred at
the Hellfire Gala, Jean Grey is dying and as she is lying there, she is determined to figure out where
things went so terribly wrong. Sifting through the fractured memories, she pinpoints the decision she
believes is the lynchpin of it all, so what if she makes a different choice?

I am still reeling from Hellfire Gala 2023 and Simonson’s writing in this issue has me champing at the bit
to know what will happen to the future of the mutants. The stunning artwork by Chang brings this issue
to life, I especially love the scenes with the Phoenix. The panel of Professor X and the X-Men preparing
to battle Phoenix is bar far my favorite, definitely worthy of a movie scene. I am looking forward to
what this team has in store for us next.

The Fall of X will be one of the darkest and unpredictable periods of X-Men History. This story arc will be
spread across various issues starting with the events in X-Men: Hellfire Gala 2023. This month alone we
will get revelations in 14 different issues hitting the stands including Jean Grey 1, Children of the Vault 1
and Dark X-Men 2.

Rating: ★★★★☆
