If you are a regular reader of ComicsOnline, then you know that we are massive fans of the IDW Trek books. Lanzing and Kelly have written some sensational stories in the world of Star Trek, and their words have been brought to life thanks to the talented work of Artists Megan Levens and Rachael Stott, Colorists Lee Loughridge and Charlie Kirchoff, Letterer Clayton Cowles, and Group Editor Heather Antos. Volume 4 collects Star Trek issues #19-24 and the 2024 Annual, which set the stage for the epic Lore War event (now in progress).

This arc of the Star Trek comic series features the return of many classic characters, a few surprise appearances from more recent Picard-Era friends, and a family reunion that we’ve wanted to see for decades. This book seamlessly incorporated all of these elements in a way that served the greater narrative (not an easy task). The action, pacing, and exposition are balanced with care, providing readers with a unique story that features something for everyone. This creative team has expertly captured the voices and characterization of our favorite cosmic heroes, and every turn of the page brings more to love.
