by Matt Sernaker, Editor-In-Chief

Cowabunga! Our favorite heroes-in-a-half-shell are back for more adventures in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Vol. 2: NYC vs. TMNT, from our friends at IDW Publishing. New arc, same high-energy creative team delivering an astounding series. The reign of the Turtles continues into 2026!

If you’re just joining us, Jason Aaron and an impressive team of creators recently kicked off the TMNT 40th Anniversary in style with the relaunch of the ongoing Turtles title. The brothers have finally gotten the band back together, but they soon learn that their future is in jeopardy, as the city of New York has turned against them. With D.A. Hieronymus Hale working with the Foot Clan, the boys will need to pull out all the stops to turn the tables on the forces of evil.

The current creative team might be wrapping up their run with the release of this new collection, but they have absolutely made a lasting impact in the world of TMNT. Twelve issues weren’t enough, but we are truly thankful and impressed by everything accomplished in such a short time. As a life-long Turtles fan, I appreciated the desire to try something new and innovative, and the character study into each of our heroes paid off massively. Our team at ComicsOnline highly recommends both Volumes 1 and 2 of TMNT from IDW. You won’t be disappointed.

Matt Sernaker (Editor-In-Chief) interviewed MacGyver once and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
