DVD Review: 24 Season 7
WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR??!?!
Fans had to wait a long time to see Season 7 of 24 due to the Writer's Strike of 2007/2008. Several promotions had already aired in the US and had indicated the dismantling of CTU, as well as the return of a key player to the 24 Universe, TONY ALMEDA! But wait… wasn't he dead? Well unfortunately for us, only a few of the 24 episodes had been filmed before the strike began and production had to be postponed. After the strike ended, producers at Fox decided to postpone the airing of Season 7 until early 2009… The Power That Be decided that 2009 was a bit too long to wait for new adventures of our hero and made a two hour TV movie called "24: Redemption" (aka Jack Bauer's Adventures in Africa!) to serve as a prequel to the upcoming season. Now that the new season of 24 has been aired in the US, Fox has released the complete 7th season set!
DVD Review: Forever Funny
Forever Funny is a new DVD collection featuring several classic sitcoms from the past.
It took a long time to sit down and watch seven of the "best" comedies starting from the tarnished golden years of the Honeymooners to the rainy day hijinxs of Dr. Frasier Crane and his Seattle crew. The episodes, which also include I Love Lucy (I didn't), The Odd Couple (not about Bush and Cheney), Taxi (a show you probably couldn't get on a rainy Friday night in the City), The Brady Bunch (a little like the Palin Family) and of course Cheers (a bar where everybody may know your name but not the location of the nearest A.A. meeting). All of these shows put the sit in sitcom.

Action Packed is a special DVD collection of Four adventure TV shows of yesteryear. All are the original pilots of Mission Impossible, Macgyver, Walker Texas Ranger and NCIS. You can see what made each of these series terrific or moronic from the get go.

Blu-ray Review: Saturday Night Fever

Saturday Night Fever was originally released in 1977. As I was a little kid at the time, and it was perceived as just some film about disco dancing, a pastime that was much-derided in my adolescence, I never got around to seeing it until now. That's kind of a shame really, as I might have really enjoyed it's themes as a teenager.
Blu-ray Review: CSI: The First Season
Just in time for the announcement of the show’s tenth season, Paramount has released the CSI [Crime Scene Investigation] The First Season on Blu-Ray.
C.S.I. first aired in ’00 and in just 9 seasons had two spin-off shows (CSI: Miami and CSI: NY) a series of mystery novels, comic books, and even the occasional video games. It’s easy to see why when watching the first season. Known for being one of the first shows to be filmed and presented in HDTV format, Paramount finally releases all 23 episodes in the original 16:9 wide-screen.

S. Darko: A Donnie Darko Tale is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
Somethings are better off being left alone…and the tale of Donnie Darko is definitely one of those things you shouldn't mess with unless you really have a good grasp on the film, the characters, and why the story was such a success in the first place. When it was announced that there would be a Direct to Dvd sequel to the cult classic film Donnie Darko I was pretty surprised. It is one of those films that really doesn't have more to tell (especially when the title character doesn't survive the film). With most movies that are released in this fashion you know going into it that it might not be the greatest or maybe just not live up to expectations. You must have a totally open mind when watching a film like this. This film was supposed to be a stand alone story within the world of Donnie Darko.
DVD Review: Gad Guard: The Complete Series

Hajiki is a 16 year old boy, who lives in the run down streets of Night Town and makes his money as a delivery boy. On one of Hajiki deliveries he runs in to a little trouble, desperately trying to save the package, Hajiki jumps in front of a car to save it. Turns out the package was a Gad, and Hajiki turned it into a Techode, witch he named Lighting. Techodes are large human looking robots that come from Gads. Hajiki may not know it yet, but there are others with with Techodes, some of them are good and some are bad. Can Hajiki figure out who is good or bad? Can he also deiced whether he is good or bad? There is only one way to find out.

Centuries pass and the same events have taken place many times before. A young girl, Sonsaku Hakufu, comes to town and wants to fight everyone. One little issue, she is not that good and is rather stupid, but there is something else. Sonsaku is the possessor of the Dragon Bead that contains the chi of Sun Ce-Bofu, one of the most powerful fighters that ever lived. Once the secret is out, the battles really begin and the story takes on an interesting turn.

I cannot possibly tell you how many times I have watched the original Star Trek films growing up. Wrath of Khan and The Voyage Home were viewed countless times as a child. For that reason (amongst others) I am excited to tell you about the release of the classic Star Trek movies featuring the adventures of Captain Kirk and the crew of the original Enterprise on Blu-ray. One of these sets is Star Trek: The Motion Picture Trilogy which contains The Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, and The Voyage Home. These three films take place within a short period of time and act as a continuing adventure.

DVD Review: Best of Star Trek The Original Series and Next Generation
After watching the new Star Trek movie I was feeling very nostaligic and I wanted to go back and watch some classic episodes. But which episodes should I watch? Well Paramount helped me out with this conundrum and has released two new Star Trek collections: The Best of the Original Series and the Best of The Next Generation!
