Picture if you will what would happen if Game of Thrones met a drunk The Princess Bride and together they put on a musical. Before you ask, no this is not a bizarre fever dream brought on by a dangerous combination of mescaline, Redbull and the indiscriminate binge watching things on Netflix. No this is Galavant, proof that who ever is in charge of programing at ABC is seriously, and quite possibly literally, insane and it is magical.

The show was created by Tangled writer Dan Fogelman, with music by Oscar-winning Disney legend Alan Menken & Oscar-nominated lyricist Glenn Slater, and features Joshua Sasse as the dashing, if disillusioned, hero Galavant and Lassy from Psych (Timothy Omundson) as the evil King Richard; a low rent, much taller version Lord Farquaad.

Galavant will be airing this fall on ABC and if it is even remotely as insanely awesome as the trailer? This show is going to be amazing.
