Advance Review: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101

by Matt Sernaker, Managing Editor

It’s Morphin Time! Our favorite teenagers with attitude are back for more in Boom! Studios’ Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101. Following the completion of Ryan Parrott’s morphinominal run on the series, the story gets a bold new direction from Melissa Flores (Power Rangers, The Dead Lucky) artist Simona Di Gianfelice (All-New Firefly), colorist Raúl Angulo (Mighty Morphin), and letterer Ed Dukeshire.

As seen in the preview pages below, Melissa and the team kick things into high gear right away. Readers are treated to major reveals regarding a missing piece of Power Rangers mythology, easily demonstrating that the creative team has a deep understanding of the importance of these characters and their legacy. Without going into spoilers, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101 sets up some big changes, surprising character moments, and major reveals that will make you cheer as you turn from page to page.

This is the perfect issue to jump in and join the fun and offers a significant payoff for longtime readers.
