Red Alert! Star Trek: Lower Decks fans can rejoice as the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos take center stage in the newest collection from IDW Publishing.

Official Synopsis:
Ensign, report to the bridge! Board the U.S.S. Cerritos for a mission to the enigmatic Qvanti system as the hit Paramount+ animated series comes to comics! Captain Carol Freeman leads her crew on an expedition aimed to build bridges and advance Federation technology, but she and the away team quickly suspect that the planet and its people are not all what they seem… Meanwhile, the crew in the lower decks take to the holodeck for some much-needed recreational time—until a bloodthirsty visitor decides to join in on their games. Can Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford save the ship from the likes of Dracula? Star Trek: Lower Decks unites New York Times-bestselling and Eisner-winning writer Ryan North (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) and comics artist extraordinaire Chris Fenoglio (Goosebumps, Star Wars Adventures).

Creative Team
Writer: Ryan North
Artist: Chris Fenoglio
Lettering: Johanna Nattalie & Jake Wood

Collecting the first three issues of the Star Trek: Lower Decks comics, this story acts as the perfect continuation of the ongoing misadventures in the Star Trek universe. Filled with callbacks and further explorations into the deepest corners Trek lore, Ryan North displays his knowledge and understanding of the franchise through a clever comic adventure. But big picture: a Starfleet crew versus a holographic version of Dracula? Take my money.

The animated Paramount+ series lends itself perfectly to the comic medium, allowing for a seamless visual translation to the page. Chris Fenoglio does a fantastic job capturing the characters in this format, bringing the joy and ridiculousness of exploring the final frontier with Boimler, Mariner, Tendi, and Rutherford. This is the perfect way to enjoy these characters as we wait for the arrival of Star Trek: Lower Decks – Season 4 on Paramount+.
