William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill from Legion M will take over the Historic Byrd Theater, March 15 at 7 p.m. – Ticket Packages on Sale

RICHMOND, VA – February 23, 2024 – Get ready to embark on a journey through the extraordinary life of an icon with the premiere of William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill, a captivating documentary set to debut at the iconic Byrd Theater in Richmond, VA, on March 15, before a series of red carpet events in New York and LA. This special event is part of the highly anticipated GalaxyCon weekend and is co-hosted by GalaxyCon and Legion M.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker, Alexandre O. Philippe from Exhibit A Pictures, William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill provides an intimate and revealing look at the life and career of the legendary entertainer. From his groundbreaking role as Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek to his extensive work in film, television, music, and beyond, this documentary promises to take audiences on a captivating journey through the many facets of Shatner’s remarkable career. The film premiered at SXSW and is currently 100% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes. 

The debut event will kick off with a star-studded red carpet affair at 7 p.m., featuring celebrity guests from GalaxyCon’s ever-growing slate of beloved stars of film, television, animation, comics, and other fandoms. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow fans and industry insiders as they celebrate the legacy of William Shatner.

Following the red carpet reception, the documentary will screen at 8 p.m., providing audiences with an early look at the film, before its nationwide theatrical release on March 22nd.  The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with William Shatner himself, offering fans the opportunity to hear firsthand about his experiences and reflections on the documentary.
