TV Review: Community “Digital Exploration of Interior Design”

by Kroze Kresky, Media Editor

After first being screened at WonderCon 2012 to thunderous applause, this episode of Community seems to be the beginning of something epic brewing at Greendale. First off, let me get this out of the way and mention Subway’s sudden involvement in the show as of late. For fans of another NBC cult hit Chuck, they know that when the show was having trouble, they were able to get some additional backing from Subway and it seems that Community is trying to do the same thing here, only to a much more hilarious extent.

TV Review: Breaking In – “Game of Jones”

by Matt Sernaker, Managing Editor

Breaking In continues its hotstreak of episodes with “Game of Jones”!

You know who is great? Jones. He always takes care of everyone in the office. I especially love it when he buys everyone lunch. He sure is nice. Wait… Jones isn’t real? Don’t tell the boss… Oz gets in a bit of trouble when Molly gets suspicious about the missing, but grateous, Mr. Jones, who is supposedly Contra Security’s International Sales Specialist. Oz enlists Cash’s aid to throw her off the trail, but Cash takes things a bit too far. Meanwhile, Cam attempts to subdue his crazy new boss, before she goes off on the entire office.

Blu-ray Review: The Muppets – Wocka Wocka Value Pack

by Matt Sernaker, Managing Editor

The Muppets have returned to our lives with the new movie called…The Muppets, now available to own in an amazing Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Combo Pack!
Having grown up watching the original Muppet Movie countless times (I was born a little late for The Muppet Show), I was excited, yet hesitant when this newest endeavor was announced. The last few Muppet theatrical installments were…Less than great (I’m looking at you Muppets In Space), and didn’t really meet expectations. Upon hearing that the 2011 film was being written by Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother) and Nicholas Stoller (Undeclared), with original music by Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Concords) I was slightly reassured. But how will the new film compare to my childhood memories of Kermit and the gang?

Movie Review: The Hunger Games

May the odds be ever in your favor.

by Jennifer Bay and Karissa Barrows, Editors

I was given The Hunger Games boxed set of books for my birthday.  At the time, I had vaguely heard of it but knew nothing of the story.  After blazing through the series, I have waited impatiently for the release of the first film by the same name.  Karissa, conversely, had not yet read more than the first thirty pages of the first book at the time we saw this movie.  (She did, however, finish reading all three books in two days after seeing the film.)

DVD Review: Breaking Wind

by Chris Kane, Reviewer

A mere year after the release of the critically panned Vampires Suck, director Craig Moss (Bad Ass, The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It) weighs in with his direct-to-DVD spoof of the Twilight saga, Breaking Wind.  This film struck me as being a celluloid version of that knock-knock joke.  You know the one that goes knock-knock (who’s there?) I eat mop (I eat mop who?)  HA HA!  Yeah, Breaking Wind is a little like that joke: moronic, scatological, and kinda funny!
