ComicsOnline is back at SDCC with more exclusive interview coverage for 2023! Thanks to our friends at Skybound Entertainment, we had the chance to catch up with one of the most in-demand people at Comic-Con, our old friend Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Invincible). Host Matt Sernaker spoke with Kirkman regarding the stealth launch of the Energon Universe via Void Rivals #1, the impact of The Transformers: The Movie on his childhood, and the creation process for this new shared universe featuring Transformers & G.I. JOE.

Special thanks to Robert Kirkman & Skybound Entertainment for arranging this interview.

Every year, our coverage of San Diego Comic-Con features a dazzling array of geek pop culture delights from the established classics to the latest new and different. Due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, this year was arguably the most different in recent memory. While Hollywood largely walked the picket lines in Los Angeles, ComicsOnline took the opportunity to return to our roots and concentrate on bringing you all the best in comic book news along with some select coverage of movies, television, games, collectables, events, and everything geek pop culture!

(Managing Editor/Director of Media Relations) Matt interviewed MacGyver once (true story), and was invited on a submarine to the Arctic. It hasn't happened yet, but Matt hopes that some day he will get the call and he and Richard Dean Anderson will go off and have a wacky adventure.
