TV Review: Doctor Who – “The Eleventh Hour”

Over the past 5 years Doctor Who has seen a triumphant return to the small screen, bringing with it a host of new additions and a grand attention to both quality and style. Russell T. Davies managed to reintroduce the timeless Timelord to a new generation of Sci-Fi fans, making The Doctor a household name once again. Now RTD has passed on the torch to the fan favorite Steven Moffat, who has given us some of the best episodes of the recent reboot such as "Blink", "The Girl in The Fireplace", and "Silence in the Library", to head up the next chapter in the Doctor's life. With Moffat comes a brand new Doctor, played by newcomer Matt Smith, to take up the Timelord mantle. The question is, how do they fare?

TV Review: Stargate Universe “Divided”

After last week's fast paced and action packed episode "Space", this week's episode of SGU keeps up the pacing and keeps some of the action going as well.

Following up on last week's plot thread, several of the non-military personnel on board the Destiny are in agreement that Col Young's leadership aboard the ship hasn't exactly been the greatest in their times of need.

TV Review: Chuck Season Three (Episodes 1-5)

The fans have spoken and Chuck, one of the best shows on television, has made its return to NBC for Season Three!

Thanks to an amazing fan campaign and the decline of people who actually care about Heroes, NBC realized the importance of this little spy show and has truly given it a chance to shine. Chuck advertisements have been all over the place and these days, marketing is everything. When I arrived home last week I found a Fedex box from NBC Universal with the Chuck Press Kit, containing the first five episodes of Season Three, a secret spy kit, digital voice changer, and super secret spy glasses! The episodes alone would have been cool enough, but I do love my spy kit.

5 TV Show Sets You Can Buy on Amazon for a Penny Gift Guide

If I had a penny for every friend I had, I would be pretty shitty at buying Christmas presents and don't worry, I am. Amazon is a great micro-economy that clearly displays supply and demand, you can make good money reselling items from your own collections that people really want and find more generally undesired items for sale dirt cheap. Let's face it, ComicsOnline reader, your friends and family probably don't expect much from you. You're the kind of person that relatives refuse to give cash to  because they know where it'll go. But there's a way around this, (no, I don't mean selling Best Buy gift cards for 75% of their value on Craigslist) save massive amounts of money on presents for people you don't really care about much in the first place (YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, YOU'RE NOT MY REAL MOM, CAROL)!

DVD Review: The Waltons: The Complete Ninth Season

"Good Night, Grandma"

I am sorry this season was the last of the series. I have enjoyed the refreshing homeyness and family values this good old-fashioned American family embodied, and shudder at what is offered on TV these days…
