I will admit it: I was late into the Mass Effect craze, and by late I mean so late that by the time I had won tickets for the Mass Effect 3 Sydney Preview and Media Event, I was only just removing the shrink wrap for ME1. It does however provide me a fantastic opportunity to tell you that by playing both 1 and 2 and jumping straight into 3, the differences between the three are fairly noticeable – they just keep getting better and better.

I have been raised in the horror genre. In fact, the first movie I can ever remember watching is “The Blob”. Yep, that one with the big pink thing that consumes people. Thanks, Dad. B movies for the win! Anyway, I’ve loved horror ever since. That’s usually Karl’s territory here at ComicsOnline, but I got the Blu-ray copy by accident. So, not only am I going to tell you just a little bit about this amazing series, The Fades, on BBCThree and, as of recent, BBC America, but I’m going to give you the chance to win a DVD of series 1 of your very own.

TV Review: The Walking Dead – “Nebraska”

The Walking Dead finally returns to AMC tonight (after its gun smoking cliffhanger a few months back) with a brand new episode “Nebraska”. After the loss of Sophie, everyone at Herschel’s farm is not in the best of moods when this episode picks up. Rick and our crew of survivors are immedately told to leave the farm by Herschel, who blames Rick for everything that has befallen his family so far. Now the two crews must learn to deal with each other’s presences despite their grievances.
Video Game Review: Gears of War 3 DLC
“Basically… RUN!”

Okay. So, I know that the game itself has been out for quite a while now, but the four downloadable content (DLC) installments only just finished complete release, the final of which was the Fenix Rising pack. I’ve talked to several friends and fellow fans who are unsure as to whether or not they should buy the Season Pass or any individual DLC packs. Lucky for you, I have no trouble spending money! Prepare thyselves, gamers and Gears enthusiasts – I talk a lot, I loved the crap out of this entire game, and as far as I’m concerned, the DLC stuff is totally worth it.
DVD Review: The Woman

I usually start a review with a clever; at least I think they’re clever, introduction. Once in a while a movie comes along that defies clever, defies having the dark edge lightened, and for one reason or another defy definition. One of these movies is The Woman.
Chris Cleek (Sean Bridgers – Deadwood) is a successful small town lawyer with a wonderful family and an idyllic country home. His wife Belle (Angela Bettis – Scar), daughter Peggy (Lauren Ashley Carter – The Prodigies), son Brian (Zach Ran- film debut), and youngest daughter Darlin’ (Shyla Molhusen – film debut) are all very supportive of Brian and his interests.
